WildBlue Communications Demos Next Gen Satellite Broadband Capabilities in Denver

Demonstration will take place near the Colorado State Capitol

WildBlue Communications, a Colorado-based, high-speed, broadband Internet provider, is bringing its "next generation" satellite capabilities to Denver for a hands-on demonstration.  WildBlue has brought its mobile demonstration trailer to Denver to showcase what satellite broadband will be like in the future with download speeds at twelve times the current WildBlue service.  This is an opportunity for visitors to experience the new highly accelerated speeds alongside the current high-speed Internet service, used by nearly 400,000 WildBlue customers in the rural U.S. right now, including 11,000 subscribers here in Colorado. 

As the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. Department of Agriculture begins to map out criteria for the federal stimulus funding, a $7.2 billion initiative that is part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, WildBlue Communications is taking its service on the road to show Americans how it provides quality high-speed Internet access for the hardest-to-reach homeowners and small businesses in America.  WildBlue Communications has been an advocate in Washington D.C. for the satellite broadband industry as satellite technology is an essential component in the initiative to provide universal broadband access to all Americans.
