WildBlue Communications Shares Satellite Expertise in Washington, D.C.

WildBlue Communications of Denver, Colorado sent two of its experts to Washington, D.C. this week to provide insight on satellite broadband Internet technology. On Tuesday, March 24th Lisa Scalpone, Vice President of Legal and Government Affairs for WildBlue, was one of the panelists for a National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) and U.S. Department of Agriculture's Office of Rural Development public meeting in connection with the Broadband Initiatives funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Erwin Hudson, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, will present at the SATELLITE 2009 Convention and Exhibition series on Friday, March 27th discussing new technologies in satellite communications.

The U.S. Department of Commerce public meeting on March 24th is the last of seven public meetings being held to discuss broadband initiatives. Tuesday's meeting covered post-award compliance and oversight, selection criteria, and community economic development.
